About the project
We've completed the second stage of upgrading and modernising this school.
We built a new learning area in Block B. We refurbished the eastern part of the school’s Block A building, including:
- the library,
- art room,
- eight general-purpose classrooms,
- computer areas.
The new spaces will improve connections between indoor and outdoor spaces and provide easier access to toilets and amenities. They will also help teachers interact with students and accommodate growth in student numbers.
Funding
In the 2017–18 State Budget, $3.7 million was allocated to the school. In the 2016–17 State Budget, $12 million was allocated to schools across the state for planning. This includes funding for Valkstone Primary School.
