About the project
We rebuilt this school, including its early education facilities. We demolished old buildings that were no longer fit for purpose, and replaced relocatable buildings with permanent facilities for staff and students. The facilities delivered included:
- an early education building and courtyard
- a middle school building
- junior school buildings, sensory garden and play area
- an administration building
- specialist learning buildings
- a secondary 'neighbourhood' including the senior sensory garden
- a staff and professional learning centre
- a staff carpark
- landscaping.
We also built a hydrotherapy pool with the $500,000 additional funding.
Funding
In the 2016–17 State Budget, the school shared in $12 million of planning funding. In the 2017–18 State Budget, $20.5 million was allocated to the school. The Government has subsequently announced $500,000 in additional funding.
