About the project

We are upgrading and modernising facilities as part of the Lilydale District and Yarra Valley Education Plan.

The plan involves six schools – Lilydale High School, Lilydale Heights College, Upper Yarra Secondary College, Mooroolbark College, Healesville High School and Yarra Hills Secondary College – working together to revitalise secondary education across their communities.

We will deliver contemporary learning spaces, including flexible use indoor and outdoor spaces. The project also includes a state-of-the-art science and technology building and landscaping works.

These works will ensure the school is equipped for modern learning that supports students intellectually, and gives them hands-on opportunities that will help them learn throughout school and beyond. The new facilities will also encourage social engagement among students, parents/carers and teachers, and could be shared across the six schools in the education plan.

Funding

In the 2018–19 State Budget, $6.2 million was allocated to the school as part of the Lilydale and Upper Yarra Education Plan.
