Upper Yarra Secondary College

We modernised the library and Block A. This involved:

• refurbishing the library
• demolishing part of Block A
• providing some landscaping
• building a new toilet block
• building a new learning centre
• upgrading the sports court.

This development built on the upgrades completed in 2020, and further progressed the Lilydale District and Yarra Valley Education Plan, which is revitalising local secondary education. 

As part of the Lilydale District and Yarra Valley Education Plan ​we refurbished the Integrated Technology Learning Building and demolished part of Block A.

As part of the Lilydale District and Yarra Valley Education Plan we began modernising and upgrading the school. 

In this stage, we built contemporary learning spaces, including flexible use indoor and outdoor spaces. We also created a state-of-the-art science and technology building and completed landscaping works.

The modernisation ensures the school is equipped for modern learning that supports students intellectually, and gives them hands-on opportunities that will help them learn throughout school and beyond. The new facilities also encourage social engagement among students, parents/carers and teachers, and can be shared across the six schools in the education plan.
