The Victorian Government is transforming local secondary education through the Lilydale District and Yarra Valley Education Plan.
Development of the plan began in 2017, with a vision to provide every secondary student in these communities with the knowledge, capabilities and attributes they need to thrive throughout their lives.
We originally focused on connecting and supporting three local secondary schools to share their individual expertise and resources. In 2020, we expanded this plan to include a further three schools to meet the current and future needs of a growing community – meaning each school will have access to more expertise and resources than ever before.
As part of this plan we are significantly upgrading buildings and modernising facilities at:
Before joining the plan, Healesville High School, Mooroolbark College and Yarra Hills Secondary College received funding for building projects.
We are working with key local stakeholders to identify and meet community needs. Stakeholders include schools, local business and other education providers.
